I'm glad we could bond about the '86 con. It was the place where I first met Ward Kimball. I met him again at a Disneyana convention and told him how much I love "Toot, Whistle, Plunk, and Boom!" He said that, if you ever get a chance, you should see it in a surround sound theater because they did some fun experimentation with sound that you just can't hear on the small screen. I don't know if they ever did a digital remaster with that in mind. I should Google that.

Thank you for the comment. I really appreciate it. My blog was hit by a Turkish hacker (go figure) earlier, so I'm sorry it's taken so long for me to get back to you. Take care!

I just want to let you know, that this episode is one of my favorite cartoons of all time, and the song especially is just fantastic. I could listen to Happy Haunted Sunshine House over and over again...

Thanks for checking back in. I like hand drawn animation better. But I think it's all in the timing. Did you see "Tangled?" You could tell which scenes were done by Glen Keane because of the timing. It was sharp, crisp, and the funny thing was that it felt like it was hand drawn.

I met Dwayne Johnson on the set of the Rundown (when it was called Helldorado) where we discussed the project with his manager Marty Adelstein and producer Neal Moritz. At the time, they were all for it. There was even an announcement in Variety and the Hollywood Reporter. Dwayne wanted it to be his Austin Powers. But in order to get a movie made, all the planets need to line up. From casting to writing to financing to distribution and everything in between. Unfortunately, the planets didn't align for that project. I thought it was going to be a really good movie as well. Maybe someday...
