TOP FIVE MIDDLE NAMES OF CARTOON CHARACTERS

It’s kind of a thing to have a middle initial “J.” when you’re a cartoon. For example:

Elmer J. Fudd, Rocket J. Squirrel, Bullwinkle J. Moose, Michigan J. Frog, Homer J. Simpson, Philip J. Fry, Sheldon J. Plankton, Pegasus J. Crawford, Michael J. Fox.

But sometimes, writers create actual middle names for cartoon characters. Here, in no particular order, are my top five favorite middle names actually given to cartoon characters:

5. Stewie Gilligan Griffin
4. Bart Jojo Simpson
3. Daffy Dumas Duck
2. Donald Fauntleroy Duck
1. Wile Ethelbert Coyote

All the names were immortalized in cartoons, except for number one. For the complete story on Wile E. Coyote’s middle name, you can go to Mark Evanier’s website at:

  1. It seems like you have gathered yourself a fairly sizeable following finally. I’m pleased to see it.
