ORIGINAL JOHNNY BRAVO ANIMATION DRAWING FROM PILOT EPISODE
ORIGINAL JOHNNY BRAVO ANIMATION DRAWING FROM PILOT EPISODE
From 1994, this is an original piece of production art that was filmed, but then deleted, from the very first Johnny Bravo short in the “What A Cartoon” series on Cartoon Network. This 10 1/2” X 12 1/2” pencil drawing on animation paper was posed out by Van Partible, the creator of the show, and then redrawn here by his clean up artist, Miriam Goodman. This is an inbetween drawing that was deleted from the final cut to make the timing more snappy. From there, it was colored, layered over a background, and used in the final cartoon. There were no actual cels created for this production so these drawings are the only physical pieces used in the production. For reference, you may click on the screenshot of the actual shot that the drawing would’ve been in if it appeared in the cartoon.
CONDITION: VF/NM A few light creases on the paper as the item was flipped and used in the animation process.
*** BONUS *** To accompany the layout, Van will also personalize and create an original drawing of Johnny’s iconic face next to his signature on an exclusive 8 1/2 X 11 sheet of paper using a Sharpie marker.
